The design of the Haunted Mansion Parlor will be reminiscent of a first-class drawing room from the classic cruise liners of the golden age, invoking inspiration from the original Haunted Mansion with a nautical twist. The ship’s vintage-themed 1923 restaurant, named for the year the Walt Disney Company started, will also feature artwork inspired by movies with adventure. Other returning venues include the adults-only restaurant Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, serving French-inspired cuisine and the Worlds of Marvel restaurant. The distinct atmosphere of EPCOT’s World of Discovery neighborhood will be interpreted through dynamic art pieces, molten metals accents and futuristic, colorful glass accents throughout the suite. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Tomorrow Tower Suite onboard the Disney Treasure will comfortably sleep eight guests and features designated areas for eating, sleeping and playing as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private ensuite elevator. The reimagined Senses Fitness will offer state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facilities.

I have a bunch of other layout quibbles with the Disney Wish, many of which I’m assuming won’t be resolved. The Disney Treasure was well into development by the time the Disney Wish set sail, and it was probably too late to change the core layout by that point. So I’m guessing there won’t be more elevators, added hallways, or significant shuffling of features. It’ll likely be the Disney Wish, but with a different layer of themed design on the top of the same spaces. Aboard the Disney Treasure, adults will explore, relax, dine and play with venues and entertainment tailored just for them. These adult-only experiences will offer elevated interpretations of adventures and attractions from Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and other parks around the globe.

Much like in the "Frozen"-themed space that it is replacing from Disney Wish, this is a "dinner in the round" concept with music, dancing and characters from the "Coco" film performing on stage and making their way around the room during dinner. Fans of the classic Disney attraction and film “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” will be thrilled to return to the Nautilus submarine in the Disney Treasure’s new Periscope Pub. It’s Disney Cruise line’s first venue inspired by the beloved ride, which was retired years ago at Disney World and rethemed to Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland. Disney Treasure will debut in December 2024 with eateries, attractions and accommodations inspired by popular rides and areas of Walt Disney World and Disneyland, the cruise line announced in September. The ship also finds inspiration in Walt Disney’s love of travel, emphasizing the spirit of adventure in cruise vacations. Disney Treasure, hull number 718, was built at Meyer Werft in Germany and will set sail in December 2024. The sixth ship will be powered by clean-burning liquefied natural gas and be the same as the Disney Wish and ship 7 – 343 meters, approximately 140,000 gross tons with 1,250 guest staterooms planned for a maximum 4000 passengers – which is slightly larger than the Dream class.
Disney has announced that there will also be a brand new third show created just for the Disney Treasure. This new show will focus on Moana and is titled “Disney The Tale of Moana.” This new show will be exclusive to the Disney Treasure and follow the story of Moana as she goes on the journey to save her island and restore the heart of Te Fiti. Characters like Gramma Tala, Maui, and Tamatoa will also be featured in the show plus popular songs from the film's soundtrack.
It joins existing “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure" productions as part of the ship's entertainment offerings. Those who are planning a luxury cruise will appreciate the concierge-level staterooms and suites. Guests staying there can hang out in an exclusive concierge lounge that has its own private sun deck where they will be served refreshments throughout the day. The concierge-level suites feature design and décor inspired by the interiors inspired by “The Lion King”. Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a wonderland of immersive spaces specially designed to encourage exploration and discovery.

The primary spot for theatrical productions on board the ship will be the Walt Disney Theatre. Both “Beauty and the Beast” and “Disney Seas the Adventure” will entertain cruisers in the theater, and there will also be a new, not-yet-announced play at sea. This ship’s ride is centered around a brand-new storyline for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they search for treasure in an ancient temple. The two-person ride vehicles carry guests from the upper decks through 760 feet of winding tubes. While the Disney Treasure will have some things in common with its sister ship, the Disney Wish, Sharon Siskie, the senior vice president and general manager of Disney Cruise Line, shared the Disney Treasure will bring new stories to life and present a one-of-a-kind adventure for guests.
When Can You Experience The Disney Treasure?
The Disney Treasure will offer a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral for its 2024 inaugural voyages. This popular show holds true to the original as it focuses on the story of Belle and the Beast including favorite songs along with the two songs written by Alan Menken and Tim Rice for the reimagined film. The live stage show includes puppetry, modern theatrical design, and impressive story-telling techniques. In our experience, these shops typically have only a handful of people in them at a time, and are majorly underutilized. Now, I “get” that high end third party retail is both expected on cruise ships and is (somehow) lucrative for Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Line (thankfully) does not follow industry standards on that, and they don’t need to do so with luxury retail, either. No specifics were provided as to the substance of the suite that’ll be pulled from the park, so it sounds probably more like it’ll be a vibe.
The largest puppe featured will be Te Kā which is on a scale Disney Cruise Line has never before produced. This same giant Te Kā puppet will transform into the gentle island goddess of Te Fiti once Moana restores her heart. The live entertainment on Disney Cruise Lines is a must-see as these are Broadway-caliber performances unique to these cruises.
The Disney Treasure’s Maiden Voyage is official scheduled for December 21, 2024 on a special 7-night maiden Eastern Caribbean voyage sailing over Christmas. The Disney Fantasy will shift departure dates allowing the Disney Treasure to over Saturday 7-night Caribbean sailings. Therefore, whilst we may see the Wish or Treasure at different home ports in the future, for now, it is a pretty solid bet that both will be sailing out of Port Canaveral for some time to come. The Port Canaveral 3 and 4-night itineraries are, we can assume, the most lucrative of the Disney sailings, therefore the logical thing is that initially, the newest ship will always take over those itineraries.
